Speaker Bio: Rose Arant
Rose Arant, SPHR, is an Associate Professor of Business at Indiana Tech where she teaches a variety of courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level including Human Resource Management, Training and Development, Management, and Group Dynamics. She also advises the university's adult Human Resources majors, as well as management majors, on a variety of educational and career issues. She has previously served as the University's first Professional Development Director and developed career workshops such as interviewing, networking, career assessment, and resume writing. Rose received an award for Innovative Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Technology at the 16th Annual International Conference on Teaching and Learning, a President's award for her positive impact on students, and an Outstanding Faculty of the Year Award in 2003.
Prior to her fulltime work at Indiana Tech, Rose worked in business for 27 years in a variety of positions in Human Resources, Management, Marketing, and Engineering. In addition to her previous business experience, she concurrently held adjunct faculty positions teaching adult accelerated college classes. Recently, she and a colleague developed an online orientation program for new students. She also developed a mentoring program for the University's adjunct faculty in conjunction with a colleague.
Rose has a Bachelor of Science in English Education and Psychology from Ohio State University and an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University.
